Bent Frequency is thrilled to announce the 2011-2012 Season! The year opens with a concert on the campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. BF co-artistic directors and performers Jan Baker and Stuart Gerber will perform an offering of saxophone and percussion music.
On December 5th, 2011, Bent Frequency, funded in part by Culture Ireland as part of Imagine Ireland, Culture Ireland’s year of Irish arts in America, and the Fulton County Department of Arts and Culture presents The Music of Jennifer Walshe, featuring the Barbie opera XXX_LIVE_NUDE_GIRLS!!!, a marionette-style opera. This will be presented with the world premiere of Walshe's Atlanta 2089.
In January, Bent Frequency has been invited to perform as part of the contemporary dance festival Off the Edge--Take a Leap! (the whole event takes place from January 26-29th) at the Rialto Center for the Arts. We'll post more details about that as they become available.
On March 10, funded in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts, Bent Frequency presents John Lane and Allen Otte in their work The Innocents, inspired by Taryn Simon's photography about the wrongfully convicted who have served time for crimes they did not commit. The program will also include American composer Frederic Rzewski's Attica and Coming Together and feature the Theatrical Outfit's Tom Key.
Finally, we will wrap up the season with a program of works by Atlanta composers. This program will feature a world- premiere by Robert Scott Thompson of an electro-acoustic work commissioned by Bent Frequency as well as a world premiere by Jason Freeman.
We're excited for the upcoming season and hope you can join us!

Happy New Year from Bent Frequency!
We are currently in the process of updating our website. Please be patient with us as we create a more useful BF page. The changes in the website reflect our evolving ensemble and events.
We hope to use the blog space here to discuss aspects of the pieces we present, the composers, and the process of preparing and performing these works, as well. Right now, we are planning our concerts this Spring, one on March 22nd at Georgia State University's Kopleff Recital Hall, and one on May 1st at Ivy Hall on the campus of the Savannah College of Art and Design. We will post information about these as it becomes ready.
Cheers,
Bent Frequency
